My life has been a whirlwind of craziness for almost two years.....
On August 24, 2006, my husband of 6 years walked out on our family. At the time, Bailey was 3 1/2 and Boston was 18 months. He filed for divorce in October 2006, but never turned in all the paperwork required for a divorce to be finalized. He told me that he wanted to come home and fix things and make them right.....I was fool to believe it. I allowed my heart and my head to be played with for nearly two years. I filed the papers a couple weeks ago only to discover that we still had some paperwork that was required.....That brings me to today. I went to the courthouse to turn in the rest of the paperwork, the clerk looked up my case number and looked at me and said,"You are already divorced...." I thought I heard her wrong and asked again what she said. "You are already divorced. As of July 22, 2008." I was in shock. I cried right there at the desk....I never, in my wildest dreams, expected to find myself in this situation. Although I know that the lives of myself and my girls will be so much better, it does nothing to soothe a broken heart.
